Note: The last found record of David is in the 1880 Meigs County, Ohio Census, when he is ten and resides with his parents and siblings. No death record for his has been found by this researcher, despite an exhaustive search. In the 1900 Meigs County, Ohio Census, his mother, Ann, is identified as the mother of twelve children, eleven of whom are living as of that time. All of her children, with the exception of David, are accounted for as living via various records as of 1900. Therefore, the preponderance of evidence suggests that David died between 1880 and 1900. In the will of David's mother, Anna (Bowen) Thomas, probated in January, 1913, Anna's identifies her ten living children (both David and his brother James have predeceased their mother) as well as one granddaughter, "Anna Thomas", address "Unknown" and "Out of Ohio". This evidence suggests that said Anna Thomas is either the daughter of David Thomas or his brother, James Thomas. David's and James' mother was the informant for James' death record which identified him as single at the time of his death. This further suggests that the above mentioned granddaughter to Anna (Bowen) Thomas, namely, Anna Thomas, is the daughter of David Thomas though there has yet to be found any further record or mention of Anna Thomas, the granddaughter.
