Note: Mrs. Thelma Ray Vinson (Slick) Alford passed away, surrounded by family and friends, on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at NHC Healthcare in Milan at the age of 86. Funeral services will be held at 9 AM Friday, February 9 at Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home in Medina with Bro. George McMinn officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson County Memory Gardens. Mrs. Thelma was born in Madison County to the late Ray C. Vinson and Thelma Vawter Vinson.She was raised and attended school in Gibson County. Thelma married Millard Alford on June 29, 1947, and she retired from MAAP after 35 years of service. Mrs. Alford was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Barbara Foster; brothers, Billy and Buddy Vinson; sister, Elizabeth Czermick; one Great Grandchild. She is survived by son Danny (Shelia) Alford; daughter, Cathy Byrd; brother, Dewayne Vinson; sisters, Mildred Boyce, Dorothy Lenckus, and Wanda Foster; 11 Grandchildren,14 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren. Grandsons and Great Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
