Helenwas bornMarch 30, 1931 in Medina, TN to the late Thomas CliffordWhittand Emma Jane Blackwell Whitt. She attended Fairview SchoolandNorthside High School. She was a member of Whites ChapelBaptistChurch where she was a custodian for many years beforeherillness. She loved gardening and working in her flower beds. Sheissurvived by her husband of forty-two years, Herman Haggard;threedaughters, Nancy Taylor (Bill) of Memphis, Carolyn Allen(Wayne) ofDyersburg and Cissie Pierson (Joe) of Milan; fivesisters, Lorene Maysof Medina, Thelma Durham of Winchester, IN,Virginia Holder and DorisElliot both of Germantown, and MargieBerry of Southaven, MS; onebrother, Weldon Whitt of Memphis,seven grandchildren, onegreat-grandson and threestep-grandchildren. She was preceded in deathby one brother,Thomas Whitt. Pallbearers to serve will be MorrisTaylor, KevinAllen, Kenneth Allen, Gerald Bodkins, Richard Taylor andBillBarnes.
