Heis aveteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII and wastherecipient of the Purple Heart.He is survived by his wife offifty-four years, Mildred LewisBlackwell; his son, Charles 'Chuck'Blackwell anddaughter-in-law, Jeanine Silk Blackwell; grandson,CharlesJeffrey Blackwell and his wife Carrie CanfieldBlackwell;granddaughter, Laura Blackwell Lyles and her husband,RobertLyles;great-granddaughter, Emily Lyles all of Memphis; and ahostof other loving family members and friends.The family would like toextend a special thank you to MethodistHospice Alliance of Memphisandhis caregivers.
