Note: From the family records of Mary Esther Hawkins provided by Paul W. Hawkins. Grover Cleveland Hawkins was born Aug 28, 1884 and is most likely to be the son of Similda, according to Anita Simmons' letter dated 31 Aug 2000 and Suzanne Hawkins Burke's letter dated 2 Sept 2000 and Dan J. Todd, descendant of Grover's sister, Sabra Joan Hawkins. David A. Jones states that: "his grandpa was Fred Hawkins, b. 1886, had brothers Frank, Henry, Grover, and Talmadge". He says: "Fred, Frank, and Henry's mother was Luelda Temple, b. 1862, and father was James K. "Polk" Hawkins. Talmadge and Grover's mother was Sarah M. Craycraft, b. Mar 14, 1856. She was 40 and James was 42 when Talmadge was born. He was the 9th child of Sarah's. I think Grover was the other womans son by mistake."
