Note:   Find A Grave Memorial # 96971719; Charles Otterson: Hattie and her husband Charles Rilands were popular piano and violin players at local square dances and other gatherings. --------------------- Avis Blakeman: Hattie lived with her Grandparents, George & Harriet Shoemaker (see George Shoemaker notes). Hattie inherited all of her Shoemaker grandparents fortune. Hattie out lived 2 husbands, her 3rd. husband was younger than she and he ended up with her money. Rilands, of the Canandaigua Rd., Geneva RD 2, died in her home last night after an extended illness. Funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m., in the Bennett funeral home, 224 North St. Rev. Lullus D. Bell, pastor of First Methodist church, will officiate. Interment will be in Gorham cemetery, Gorham. Mrs. Rilands and her husband were a popular piano-violin square dance duo in this area for over 45 years. Only survivor, beside her husband, is a sister, Mrs. Ivah Presley of Spokane, Wash.
