  EDWARD HOSKING Bapt. 27th December 1801. Buried 19th April 1842 at Breage, aged 40.# An Edward HOSKING and Christian THOMAS, both 'of the parish', were married by Banns (591) on 25th July 1830 at Breage Parish Church. He signed Edward Hosking, she made her mark. They were married by H. Willyams, Curate, in the presence of George Hebbard and Ann Dobson. #

He signed, she made her mark. They were married in the presence of James and Edward HOSKING. ELIZABETH Bapt. 24th July 1836 d/o Edward & Christian HOSKING, Poladras Downs, Miner # She was not shown on the 1841 Census with her parents, so is probably the Elizabeth HOSKING, Craver, buried 6th May 1838 at Breage, aged 14 months.# WILLIAM Bapt. 4th Mar 1838 s/o Edward & Christian HOSKING, Poladras Downs, Miner # He was not shown on the 1841 census with his parents. Did he die? I did not see his burial at Breage. EDWARD Bapt. 19th Jan 1840 s/o Edward & Christian HOSKING, Poladras Downs, Miner # I believe this should read Henry. Edward baptised in 1832 was still alive in 1841, aged 9, and in the 1841 census, as below, there was a child Henry, aged 17 months. He was probably the Henry HOSKING, Poladras Downs, buried on 10th May 1854 at Breage, aged 14.# In the 1841 census, Edward (a tin miner) and Christian were at Polladras with their children James (11), Edward (9), Christian (7) and Henry (17 months).
  (note: these must be Edward's siblings but she listed with Edward's (born c. 1801) children. -- ris) THOMAS Bapt. 1st January 1804. A Thomas HOSKYN (bachelor) married Grace SYMONS (spinster) on 8th Sept 1827 at Breage, by Banns. Both signed. They were married in the presence of Edward HOSKIN. # ELIZA Bapt. 15th February 1807. Eliza HOSKEN, a spinster, married William ALLEN, bachelor, on 27th August 1826 at Breage, by Banns. Neither signed. They were married in the presence of James HOSKEN. # GRACE Bapt. 25th May 1817. Grace HOSKIN (spinster) married Jasper ALLEN (bachelor), both of Breage, on 16th May 1835 at Breage, by Banns. He signed, she made her mark. They were married in the presence of Joseph ALLEN and Edward HOSKING. #
