Note:   Overbrook Citizen, Apr. 5, 1917, pg. 1: OBITUARY James Tregemba was born near what is now Overbrook in Osage county, Kansas on April 18, 1872 and died after a lingering illness in his home three miles southwest of Overbrook, Kansas on March 28th, 1917. He was therefore, forty years, eleven months and ten days old. His entire life was spent in this community and the greater part of it on the farm on which he died. He was a man of strong conviction, and maintained with vigor clean moral principles. He was married on November 9th, 1899 to Ella Morse. To them were born three children, Lula Pearl, John Marshall and Grace Anna. He was converted in young manhood and was actively connected with religious work from that time. Because of his real merit he was greatly respected by all who knew him. He leaves his companion and children, also three brothers, many other relatives and a large circle of friends. His funeral took place from his late residence and the Methodist church in Overbrook on April 2nd., 1917 and was in charge of James W. Reed assisted by Pastor W.M. Rodgers. His body was laid to rest in the family lot in the Overbrook cemetery.
