Notes
a. Note:   Gertrude Sherry's "Our Ancestors": Mary's departure for America at twenty six yrars of age was a terrible blow to the James Gluyas family. These people seemed to realize they would never see each other again and they never did. For this reason Mary Anne decided to leave her son, Obadiah, with his grandparents to finish his educaton. The last view that Mary Anne had of her parents, as she and her two daughters walked out of sight, was of her mother standing weeping -- and her father, after sinking down on his knees, was clawing the ground, as if in an effort to pull them back. -------------------------- "Iron Ore" a weekly newspaper, Ishpeming, MI. Iron Ore, Ishpeming, MI. Copied from "Our Ancestors" by Gertrude Uren Sherry: Mrs. Tregembo, wife of William Tregembo, mining captain at the Lake Angeline Mine, died at her home late Tuesday. The deceased was sixty-for years of age and had long resided in this city. She was a Christian lady, possessing an endearing disposition and was loved by all who knew her. Funeral services were held from the Grace Episcopal Church Thursday afternoon and the attendance forcibly attested to the lady's popularity. ---------------------------------- LDS films: Cornwall, England Records; Germoe Church Records; Breage Church records.
