Note: y attended by her husband and children. For some time her condition has been growing rapidly worse until death came shortly before 3 o'clock on the afternoon mentioned. Her maiden name was Elizabeth Cooke, her father having resided at Heckston and for a time in town at his daughter's home. The late Mrs. Pelton was a lady highly respected in the community, and her demise will be deeply regretted by many. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, the cortege proceeding from the family residence to the Methodist church where the service was held. Interment was made in the Union cemetery.
