Note: The Funeral of Mrs. Harris The funeral of the late Sarah Jane Harris, wife of Mr. Herbert Harris, 435 Harris street, took place yesterday afternoon from the family residence. There was a very large attendance of friends. The late Mrs. Harris died on Wednesday last, after a lingering illness, but the funeral was held in abeyance till the arrival of her husband. Mr. Harris returned to the city and received the sad news of his wife's demise on Sunday. The deceased leaves four small children besides her husband to mourn her loss. Her mother, Mrs. J. Holmes, and her brother Mr. S. Holmes reside in the city. One brother, W. F. Holmes resides in Toronto, and two other brothers, Nathaniel and Alfred, are in Newfoundland. The following were pallbearers at the funeral: Messrs. J. Smith, S. Coffin, Bert Goss, J. Spacklen, W. Bartlett, H. Harris. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Newton Powell.
