Police, voluntees, and members of the fire brigade marched in the funeral procession. From his house to Paradise Cemetery the street was so thronged with people that is was difficult for anyone to recall ever seeing such a crowd in the history of San Fernado up to that time.
Note:   Robert Guppy's funeral superseded all the funerals that had gone before in San Fernando in terms of size and in terms of popular reaction. He died at his home, "Piedmont", number 39A Pointe-a-Pierre Road. The San Fernando Gazette called his deat
