a. Note:   f them were gifted with a musical talent and for many years they were widely known as the musical family of the Gower. For years the late David Pelton did his utmost in cultivating the gift of music in others by holding singing classes in various places. Several years ago he removed from South Gower to a finely located farm lying on the Rideau between Burritt's Rapids and Merrickville, where he died on Monday night last at the age of 58. Mr. Pelton had been afflicted with diabetes for 5 or 6 years and had sought relief from every source but without any permanent effect. This forenoon, while the whole British empire is teeming with mirth and sport, the occasion of the Queen's birthday, the bereaved friends and relatives are committing all that was mortal of David Pelton to it's last resting place in the Union cemetery near Merrickville. He will be buried under the order of the A.O.U.W. at 10 o'clock this forenoon and brethren of Kemptville and adjoining lodges are invited to assist.
