Note: McIntyre, Mr. Donald Laid at Rest. The death of Donald McIntyre of Mountain Township on Thursday last was not an unexpected event, for loved ones had been watching by his bedside for several days. The universal expression was that a good man has gone to his reward. He was born in Argyleshire, Scotland, and in 1817 came to Glengarry with his parents where they remained two years. For the past 76 years he has been a resident of Mountain and in fact during that time had always lived on the same farm. His children consisted of 4 sons and 4 daughters, all living but one daughter. The remains were buried in South Gower cemetery on Saturday last.
