Children:
  1. James Ogg: Birth: 31 OCT 1703 in Coull of Inverernen, Tarland (later Strathdon), Aberdeen, Scotland.

  2. John Ogg: Birth: 3 JUN 1709 in Coull of Inverernen, Tarland (later Strathdon), Aberdeen, Scotland.

Notes
a. Note:   John Ogg is listed in the 1696 Poll book for Tarland Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland as being a miller at Inverearnan, with wife. The wife's name is not given and no children are listed. The exact reading is, "John Ogg, miller their, 6s for trade, 6s general poll & 6 s for wife is 18s." At the same location as subtenant is Arthur Ogg & wife, their poll 12s.
I believe that the Ogg's of Forgue are also related, they also being meal millers, however, I have no proof at this time.
At a neighboring farm we have: Edinglassie; John Ogg, tennant, his proportion of his masters rent is 13s, 4d & gen poll of 6s, total poll of 19s, his wife gen poll is 6s. Also at Edinglassie; Allan Ogg, cottar (no trade) & his wife, poll is 12s.
I would like to thank Don Esslemont in New Zealand for this info from the 1844 printing of the Aberdeen Poll Book, by the Spaulding Club, P. 14 & 15.
The source for the Tarland location was a letter from Sir William Gammie Ogg to my Gt. Aunt Sadie Walker.
I expect I am missing many children in this family. Given the family names being used, I would have expected to see a James and Andrew, as well as a Jane, Elizabeth and Barbara.
