  The following obituary was taken from "The Oil City Visitor Sour Lake Newspaper". Mrs. Rue Elizabeth Parker 83 died at her home here on Friday 12/20/1945. Her funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Reverand Glen A. Dromgoole officiating. Burial was in Rosedale Cem. under direction of Carol-Wallace Funeral Home of Beaumont. Mrs. Parker, a native of Tennessee, had resided in Sour Lake for 31 years was held in high esteem by a host of friends. Surviving is one son C.J. Parker of Sour Lake and 3 daughters, Mrs. Minnie Edwards of Tucson, Arizona, Annie Eaton of Enid, Ok., and Mrs. Lola Smith of Laurel, Mississippi.
  On Rue's death certificate her mother is listed as Mary E. Clouse but her mother was Rebecca Ann Clouse
