I am having trouble finding birth/baptism records for Niels and Inger Kirstine. The biggest hurdle is the online records start at 1814 - and they were born before that. Their marriage record states they were vaccinated 2 Aug 1807 (Niels) and 5 Sep 1812 (Inger Kirstine). Inger's confirmation record states she was baptized 29 Oct 1810 and her father is Peder Johansen, mother is Karen Nielsdatter. I found Niels' confirmation record, I think. It states he was baptized 22 Mar 1803, and his mother was Enke (widow) Kirsten Anders datter. That makes sense because his first daughter was named Kirsten. Also, I found a census with Kirsten Andersdatter and as you will see, in 1801, her husband, Ole Nielsen (which fits the naming pattern) was already 66. In 1818, the confirmation date, he would have been 83 - so it is very likely he passed away. I will check the deaths in the parish - but again, they start at 1814. Wayne Nielsen - I believe this to be the birth/baptism record for Peder Nielsen, b. 17 Feb 1849, to Niels Olsen and Inger Kirstine Pedersdatter. This record is a copy. Original Post Wayne Nielsen 11:54pm Mar 3 My Great Grandfather was Peder Nielsen and my Great Grandmother Carolina Nee Petersen Nielsen. They arrived in the United States, immigrating from Denmark in July of 1879. Peder and Carolina were married in the Gimlinge Church on August 4, 1876, in Sorbymagle, Sjaelland, Denmark. The best that I can determine, Carolina Petersen Nielsen, was born March 14, 1852 in Sorbylille, Denmark, and was the daughter of Peder Thomsen (born August 14, 1816 in Davidsrod, Ottestrup, Soro, Denmark; died November 27, 1880) and Magdalene Johansen (born July 8, 1816 in Denmark). Great Grandfather Peder Nielsen was born February 17, 1849, in Sjalland (Seeland), Denmark, to Niels Olesen (we believe Niels was born July 13, 1806, in Soro Vestsjalland, Denmark; and died March 8, 1877) and Kirstine Pedersdatter (born 1810; died December 3, 1875).
