  "Bethel A. JONES is my gg-grandfather. The 2 children shown with him and his wife Nancy on the 1870 Henry Co., AL census; namely, Susan C. & Bethel L.; were their grandchildren...not children. Their parents were Amanda Caroline JONES and Nicholas Green COHRON's children. Nicholas died in the Civil War and Amanda had remarried to my great-grandfather, Thomas "Green" TINDELL so Bethel and Nancy were taking care of/raising these children from Amanda's first marriage.

  Generally, all the JONES in Henry Co., AL that were born in SC are related to Susannah while the other JONES in Henry Co., AL born in FL/GA were children of John Edmund JONES
