Note: (XII) Samuel Ambrose Tappan, son of Daniel Tappan (XI), was born at Sandwich, N. H., January 29, 1850. He died at North Woodstock, N. H., March 14, 1910, and was buried at Woodstock, N. H. He was for many years interested in the lumber mill business. He served as selectman of his town, and was a charter member of Parker Lodge, Number 97, of Freemasons, of North Woodstock, N. H. He married March 29, 1886, Emma Smith of North Woodstock, who was born June 1, 1863.
Children: 1. Albert Daniel, born September 14, 1887, married November 13, 1912, Ethel H. Rumble, daughter of Mrs. James Appt of Westboro, Mass.; has one child, Doris Ethel, born August 30, 1913. 2. Ervin Alfred, born October 1, 1891. Their residence is (1915) North Woodstock, N. H.
