Fire Lands Pioneer Vol 16 Taylor, Sarah, was born at Sandusky. September 29. 1833. She was of English parentage, her father. Joseph Stanbery, being a direct descendant of Oliver Cromwell. She lived at Sanduskv until 1881 when she moved to Toledo. She died in January 1908. Her children are: Mrs. Mary Rockwell, Mrs. Henry Emerson. Mrs. George Wagonlander, Mrs. Lewis House, Mrs. Helen Mixter, Capt. Grant S. Taylor, Mrs. John C. Cole and Mrs. Alfred States.

the Sandusky Star Journal, January 20, 1908;
"Mrs. Mary J. Taylor, widow of John B. Taylor, died at 3 oclock Saturday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Helen Mixter of Toledo. She was taken suddenly ill Friday night and died a few hours later, heart trouble causing her death.
Of the seven children who survive her, three reside in Toledo, Mrs. Mixter, Mrs. George S. Wagonlander, and Mr. Grant S. Taylor. Two of her daughters reside in Huron, one in Cleveland, and one in Kansas.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Sandusky 74 years ago and has been a resident of Toledo for 27 years. The remains arrived in Sandusky at 11:40 o'clock over the Lake Shore Monday morning and were immediately taken to Oakland cemetery for burial. Rev. Dr. Givler conducted a short service at the grave."
