Note: JONAS M. born May 13,1841 Sandusky, OH with father 1850 Perkins Twp. With Recompena 1860 Eire Co. Perkins Twp. listed as Sailor. 1861 joined Ohio Volunteers, 72nd Co. G- was 1st Sgt. wounded at siege of Spanish Fort, AL. Mustered out with Company. Married Anna B. Bailey in 1866, four children. She was born 1848 Unkown location.Their child, Clara C. married Guy Howard and applied for DAR membership #130910. Jonas lived at various times Cleveland, Millersburg & Akron, lived in West Toledo since 1877. Served as township clerk and member of school board for a number of years. 1895 he was elected representative from Lucas Co. to the 72nd general assembly as a Republican. (Believe State Assembly) Jonas died in Toledo at 74 yrs, in 1915. He was buried at Oakland Cemetery. Sandusky Oh. Dec.30,1915. Cause of death listed as "arteis scherrosis" Refereed to as Honorable must have been a Judge and Lawyer
