Notes
a. Note:   Notes Rec Stanbery; Georges name, dates, wife and children 1909 living in Birmingham, AL From Mary Katherine Stewart Prinz, Great grandaughter of George Stanbery; George and his wife, Katheren Elizabeth Zeller, Moved to Alabama to farm. He believed that the southerners needed help to learn how to do it right. He lost his "shirt tail" and ended up running a general store in Lownesboro, Alabama. They are both buried in Lownesboro. They had two sons, Howard and Harold. Howard died very young and Harold never married, so there was nobody to carry on the Stanbery name for George. They had daughters, Nellie lived and died in Birmingham (AL). Her husband died at age 38, leaving her to raise 6 children alone. Bessie Ruthanne married Arthur Benson and lived in Denver. They only had one daughter, Esther (married Floyd Ray). They are all buried in Denver. Esther had one daughter who now (2000) lives in Idaho. Irene was their youngest. She married Malcom Sullivan and lived in Lownesboro all of her life. She was an RN and was a military nurse for awhile but had to stop due to severe allergies to Penicillin. Irene had 3 children, Malcom Jr (still in Lownesboro), Maxine (living in Virginia at present, 2000) and Nell (living in Idaho). They are a good Morman family so they each have many children.
