Notes
a. Note:   Dolní Bělá (Czech pronunciation: [ˈdolɲiː ˈbjɛlaː]) is a village and municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located approximately 20 kilometers north north-west of Plzeň. The village had 446 inhabitants as of July 3, 2006. Ober Bris or Horni Briza where Mary Stepanek came from is only 5 to 6 miles to the south of Dolni Bela.   Mary Sramek Levesque I see that no one has added on the extra data from the record. Mine is only about a 65% today, but here it is.
28 July 1851 born and baptized. Child Josef Catholic, male, legitimate Father: Šmid Václav, cottager and ____ zednícky? from (probably Dolní Běla but looks like a mix of German and Czech equivalent of Neustadt) house 8, then a very long phrase I cannot interpret, but which looks VERY interesting. Ok end of fourth line says “syn”, son of Ján Šmid, who has the same occupation as Václav, I suspect “tovaryš” means master or licensed or something like that. Ján Šmid is from Všen__ house 26, and probably the district Radnice. Václav’s mother is Anna, maiden name Nový, but you already knew that, from Bezděkov house 22. Mother is Anna Ruže, daughter of the deceased František Ruže, podruh from Kopvel? number 2. Then that long explanation about where that is. “Kraj” is a clue word that tells me that. Then mother Marie born Beneš from the same house number 2.
