Note: Address of Engle Rd., Rt. 1, Palmyra, MI Obituary Adrian paper; Clark C. Engel, 77, of Engel Road, Palmyra Township, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 1989 at Provincial House, Adrian. He was born Sept. 12, 1912, in Palmyra Township to Charles T. and Alta (Denman) Engel. March 23, 1935, he married the former Mildred Hodges, and she survives. He was a farmer in Palmyra Township for most of his life. He was a member of the Palmyra Township Board for 22 years. He also served as president of the Blissfield Co-op for the past 10 years. He served on the Michigan Milk Producers board, and on the Southeastern Michigan Rural Electric Co-op for several years. He was a life member of the International Order of Oddfellows, Lodge 264, and a member of the Gorman Grange. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Madeline Anthony of Flint and Mrs. Jane Allen of Lansing; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his parents and one son, Douglas Clarke Engel. Funeral services will take place Wednesday at 1:30 pm, at Tagsold Funeral Home, Blissfield, with Donald Kleinsmith officiating. Burial will be in Palmyra Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. An Oddfellows service will take place Tuesday at 8 pm in the funeral home.
