Note: lEve Diver is the daughter of John Diver and his wife Mary Delorme. (Mary Delong) Have three different birth dates. From Genealogy of Down River Families it says she was born 1807 in Canada (which could be Monroe as it was not US then) and she was baptized May 29, 1828 at St Antoine, River Raisin. The 1850 census says she is 46 years old making her birth date appx. 1804 in Canada West. According to her burial she died May 9, 1884, age 83 years & 10 months, making birth date appx. 1800. She is buried in St Mary's Cemetery in Monroe with her husband Louis Chamberland. He was born about 1795 (sic) in Detroit the son of Joseph Chamberland (born 1747 buried Sept. 25, 1832 St Antoine, River Raisin) and his second wife Josephine Larose (fille d'une sauvagesse), a savage. This is according to Genealogy of Down River Families. There is a question of his birth date as they were not married until Feb. 19, 1798 in Detroit. Josephine was born 1770 and buried Jan. 14, 1829, St Antoine. Louis settled about 1813 at River Rasin. Eve and Louis were married Oct. 5, 1824 in Monroe by Peter P. Ferry JP. The marriage was ratified St Antoine, River Rasin, May 29, 1828.
Louis Chamberland ( Joseph ), born 1795 (sic) Detroit, married by a civil magistrate to Eva Diver, born 1807 Canada, Daughter of John Diver and Mary Delorme. This marriage ratified at St. Antoine, River Rasin 29 May 1828, Louis settled circa 1813 River Rasin, buried there 20 July 1846.
