b. Note:   Windsor: Feb. 5: Frederick M. Philley, superintendant of the Empire State Dairy Co. was caught in the gearing of the ice conveying machinery in the company's plant in this village. supposedly about 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning and killed instantly. His body, however, was not discovered until three hours later when the engineer, Charles Hill, attempted to start the conveyor. Mr. Philley had gone to the upper part of the ice house to iunspect the machinery preparatory to filling the ice house and was alone at the time. He was caught in the gearing and hurled around the revolving shaft. His neck and several bones were broken.. So tightly had his clothiung been wound in the gears that it was necessary to cut it before the body could be removed. His watch had stopped at 10:30 o'clock, which is presumably the time when the accidsent occurred. Engineer Hill tried to start the conveyor at 1:30 o'clock and when he was unable to do so, investigated and discovered the fatal accident. The body was removed to Chase's undertaking rooms, where it was examined by Coroner A. J. Stillson. The funeral arrangements have not been announced. A prayer service will be held at the home at 11:30 o'clock tomorrow morning after which the Windsor Masonic lodge will have charge of the services in the Methodist Church at 12 o'clock. The body will be taken to Norwich for burial.
