Notes
a. Note:   . Webster, one of the earliest settlers in Western N.Y. Her early life was spent in Orangeville and Warsaw. She was thoroughly familiar with the development of the country and with the inconveneiences incident to pioneer life. She was married in 1832, and settled on the farm in Orangeville that was for more than a half century known as the Crossett farm. Here she was given ten children, seven of whom are now living. Mrs. C. remained in Orangeville until the death of her husband in 1877, when she removed to Chicago and there rersided with one of her sons until about the first of April last. She was at the time of her death, which occured May 13th, visiting her sons at Salem, Ill. Mrs. Crossett was highly esteemed by all who knew her. She was possessed of a more than ordinarily kind disposition, and loved and pitied humanity as only the devout followers of the Master can. In her family relations she was all that husband or children could desire. Her remains were brought to Orangeville to rest by the side of those of her family who havew gone before to welcome her at her coming. "Noble life, so full of beauty, Full of faith, of words, of love, Recommends thee to thy Savior, Gains eternal rest above."
