Note: N1352 Abe was a member of Co. C 8th NY Cavalry and joined at the same time as his Brothers-in-law, Eric Crossett, H. N. Furlow, Ben Furlow, and later David Myers. Abe died in service as reported in the Chenango American "Abraham Rose of the 8th N.Y.Cavalry on Bedlow's Island." His wife's obituary says" Her husband, after much suffering, died during the civil war... from injuries received in battle." Co. F, 8th NY Cavalry, (see note for death)
