Notes
a. Note:   hn and Rachel Kimble; I figure she married John Kimble.
1860 census John Kimble b abt 1833 27, Rachel 62, Sarah A 37. West Nottingham. Group of Kimbles lived together. Richard Kimble 40 and Jane 36; Anson B Kimble 24, Mary F Kimble 20. They were pretty prosperous farmers. Owned $3500, $5500, $2000 worth of land; John the wealthiest of them.
1870 Jno S Kimble 37 b abt 1833. wife Rachel 37. Rachel E Kimble 5, Jos W Kimble 2, Rachel Kimble 73, Sampson Moore 81, Jno H Cain 16. He had $10,000 worth of land, and 5,000 in personal estate. Rachel Kimble, 73, was "domestic".
In 1860 it appears that he was married to Sarah A, age 37 - 10 years older - and didn't have any children, so his children must have been with Rachel.
However, it is a mystery, since from the census, Rachel Kimble the wife of John was about 20 years younger than Rachel the daughter of Sampson Moore.
In 1880 as well, Rachel is around the same age as John.
In the 1900 census her birth date is given as Sep 1833. They married in 1864. 2 living children - of 6.
Her maiden name was Kirk, according to her death certificate. She was born Sep 4, 1833, in Chester County, to Joseph Kirk born Cecil County, and Elizabeth Scott b Chester County. She died May 17, 1915 in East Nottingham.
1870 census never said how Sampson Moore and the Kimble family were related.
There is other evidence of relationships between the Kimble and Moore families; on wills and so forth.
Note:   In the 1870 census, Sampson Moore of West Nottingham was living with Jo
