a. Note:   gher's death certificate lists her as Adda Wilson. She was reportedly quite bright; and loved drama or poetry.
  My father's records show that her first name was Sarah, but I did not find that she was known by that name.
  From Grandview Cemetery: She died at age 89 in Union Township. She was buried from Pearce Funeral Home. Cause of death was hypertensive and arteriosclerotic heart diease.
  Her granddaughter Betsey Carpenter calls her Adda but says her name was Sarah Adda Wilson.
  Her boti says she was of McVeytown. formerly of Pitcairn. She died at Valley View Haven, Belleview. She was born Cassville, Oct 13 1851, to David C and Elizabeth (Steele) Wilson. She was survived by daughters Mrs. Robert E. Steele of McVeytown and Mrs Elwood A (Emma) Garner of Pittsford, NY.
  She attended McGinnis Church of Pitcairn, and Rev. Arthur Rowan presided at her funeral.
  She was educated in music and speech at Williamsport Dickinson Seminary, and Millersville State Normal School, and taught piano in Altoona for a number of years.
  Died at Vallye View Nursing Home rather than where she had lived. She was educated in music and speech at Williamsport-Dickinson Seminary, and Millersville State Normal School. She taught piano in Altoona for a number of years.
