I JAMES WATSON son of the county of Orange and State of North Carolina, being weak in body, but of sound memory and Judgment thanks be unto God. Therefore, do this fourteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen make and appoint this my last will and Testament in manner following. My will is after all my Just debts are paid that all my Estate consisting of Seven Negroes to wit CHARITY, HANNAH, GRANT, CELCIA, YACKNEY, LORRIE AND NELLY and their increase I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife MARGARET WATSON during her natural life. Also all my Horses, Hogs, Cattle, Household and Kitchen furniture, all residue of my Estate to her during natural life______. Item I give and bequeath to my sister in law ELLENOR WITTEE fifty dollars after the death of my wife Margaret. Item I give and bequeath after the death of my beloved wife Margaret all my above mentioned Estate to my eight dearly beloved children to wit HELEN RILEY, JAMES WATSON, REBECCA WATSON, ELIZABETH COMB, ANDREW WATSON, NANCY WATSON, JOHN WATSON, ROBERT WATSON to be equally divided amongst them my aforesaid children to them and their heirs forever. Item My will is that the share which I have above named to my daughter Helen Riley after her death be equally divided between her three children to wit, WASHINGTON RILEY, ELIZABETH RILEY, RACHEL RILEY to them and their heirs forever. Lastly, I make and ordain my trusty and well beloved friend my wife Margaret and my son in Law John Combs Executors of this my last will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
