  Probate Record, Bk C, MS, Lauderdale Co., 1847-51, pg 571; Jan 10 1851 In the name of God, I, Robert Bacliff of MS, Lauderdale Co., being weak in Body but of Perfect mind and memory Thanks be unto God. Calling to mind the immortality of my body and Knowing it is appropriate for all men to die do make my last will and testament. I give my soul unto the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body. I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian manner at the discretion of my Executor, Nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give an dispose of the same in the following manner. Item 1stI give my brother William Bacliff $10 Item 2ndI give my brother Thomas Bacliff $5 Item 3rd I give my brother Ishmael Bacliff $5 Item 4th I give my brother John Bacliff $5 Item 5th I give the heirs of my sister Mourning Gragston $5 to be equally divided among them Item 6th I give my sister Martha Eaves $5 Item 7I give my sister Mary Eaves $5 Item 8 I give my sister Tititha Jane Shamburger $5 Item 9 I give Margaret my beloved wife all the remaining portion of my Estate as follows. The land on which I now reside, also the following named negroes Jacob, Rose, Harriet and Caroline besides all my Horses, cattle and Hogs, my Kitchen furniture & farming tools. Item 10thI appoint Jesse B. Eaves Executor to this my last will and testament.
