a. Note:   As with Stephen De Boer hearing about the fact that Frederick Tischer was a tutor of royal Family in Germany, I too (Dee) heard the same story and it was that he was a violinist. Frederick Tischer born Aug 1820 in Saxony, Germany and died 12 Nov 1899 in Dubuque, Dubuque, IA.
  He had to leave when he became out of favor . with the World situation Austria & Germany (according to Arlene Ingram Smith - Stephen's notes)
  According to the birthdates, Frederick Tischer came to the United States **See H Fr Tischer 1846, NY Immigration ship named Emigrant. Oct 3, 1846 with wife and three children.
  Frederick Tischer married again after his first wife died. Perhaps after 1878 when his first wife died. No knowledge of place of marriage. She ( Elizabeth) was living in Illinois.
