Note: The first reference I had as a child was the name De Mars, and that is how this search began. There are many variations of this name, and I have found my way back to his birth without a date, but having other information provided along the way, have placed the date of birth as 1824-25 Flavian would be my Great Great Grandfather. His daughter Julia being the mother of my Grandmother Adelle Tischer Fryckman. df.
In the Roberts Trudeau of Roots Web, Flavian Demers Index # 122844 is listed without a birth date.
Being the son of Antoine Demers, and the first born son being Antoine Demers,and Flavian being listed as the child, I have chosen the 1823-1824 date of birth. All of these children show Christening records, and Flavian does not. Neither does Joseph Abt 1829 Quebec CA

Flavian's marriage in St Joseph de Chambly Quebec Canada to Marguerite (Andere) Audere, in the same Church where the family had Christened all their other children, indicates he was Flavian Demars. It is recorded.Sept 26 1843.

According to the 1900 Census Report of Dubuque IA, Flavian is listed as a visitor at age 75 born 1825 CA at the home of of his daughter, "Mary" (Demars) and Walter Kirkpatrick. "Mary" Marie Marguerite-Josephine was born in Chambly Quebec CA 1846
