Oscar Frykman and family moved up to Bergville just prior to Kajsia's death. The homestead burned down, and they moved back to Chisholm, MN. Oscar and Emil Lindgren worked on the water pipes for the mining company in the Monroe Location. Original township known as Balkan. This was in Chisholm MN. The County garage was in their back yard. The Iron Range also consisted of Mining Locations for each Independent Mine. Housing was established for the workers, and the rent was rather cheap while they worked there, but were able to transfer to other working Mining Areas. Penebscot, Mesabi,Monroe, Buhl, Shenango, Frazer, Hull Rust, "The World's Largest Open Iron Ore Mine", Kitzville, Pool, Bruce, and many other locations consisted of about forty to forty five homes. Many of these Locations were opened up into large range mining, and the Locations were dissolved, and the homes purchased by individaul families, and moved. The last big move made in 1948-1949. The Taconite processing started about that time as well.
