a. Note:   (1) 1880 census shows C W Boutwell as grandson living with Ethen & Jane Roe. In 1870 census, there is also a female child, E D Henderson, living with the Roes, as well as two grown Roe men, apparently sons. The Henderson child may also be their grandchild. (Roe is sometimes indexed as Rae.) The 1900 census lists him as "Corinet Boutwell." This could explain his unusual first name. It may be a nickname for Coronet, Coranet, Corinet. (2) 1900 U.S. Census: Nellie is the child who does not appear on the later censuses. (3) 1910 U.S. Census: Places of parents' births are not consistent with 1900. It may be a different informant. (4) 1920 U.S. Census of Cushman, Independence County, AR shows Cora's wife, Eliza, as a widow with 9 children at home.
