Notes
a. Note:   Baptized at the Roman Catholic parish of Lobinstown; godparents were John Craig and Catherine Smallen. At the 1870 census, widow Kate "Dignam,"40, was heading a household comprised of her elder brother Patrick and two young people, John, 24, and Bridget, 19, Kinlin. At the 1880 census, though, there were just 3 in the home, "Katherine Dignan," still ages 40, and John, 28, and Bridget, 24, called son and daughter and with her last name, Dignan. John was born in Ireland, Bridget in PA. Were these Kinlin nephew and nieces she adopted? Or her natural children?
