Note: Bertha Philomena died of diphtheria 25 January 1884, aged 3. She was buried at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh, on 27 May 1884 as "Philomena Houlihan." She lies in the same grave as her grandfather, John Houlihan, who'd died just 3 months before, and as her uncle Dennis who died more than 10 years later.
