Note: Elizabeth Houlihan was known most of her life as "Bess" or "Bessie" and is so listed on the 1900 census when she was a 3 year old. She appears in the 1920 census at age 21, living with her parents and brother David at 1408 Washington Ave, Chester, Delaware Co., PA. She never married and lived with her brother Dave & his wife Gerry in Philadelphia. After her retirement, she lived near her sister and brother-in-law, the Lutz's, in Harrisburg, PA where she died in 1994.

She was retired from the state Labor and Industry Department; and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Harrisburg, and its Laurentian Club.
