Notes
a. Note:   Called "Marianne" in German church records; called "Marie" on the death certificate of daughter Catharin (Wiszniewski) Ewald. I've been unable to locate any birth record for Marianne in the church records; at her marriage in 1827 she was age 20, therefore born @1807. I find no birth record in that year or later; there is a gap in the birth records from 1782 to 1807, and her birth was likely in that period, perhaps as late as 1806. Marianne was married 1827 at Gorrenschion/Goreczyno and was called "of Gorrenczyn" in that record, surname shown as "Cymer" in the online record, Website of the Pomeranian Genealogical Association, search facility at[http://www.ptg.gda.pl]; book W346, picture #05.
I was unable to locate any childrens' births in the Gorrenschin church records for parents Marianne and Michael 1843-1853; since they were still of child-bearing age, they may have moved from Gorrenschin after 1842. They eventually settled in Danzig Mattern, now Gdansk Matarnia, although I have not found any additional births in that place. However, some of their children were married there, grandchildren were born there and that is where they died. I believe that the 1896 death record in Gdansk Matarnia of 88 year old "Catherina Wischnowska" is indeed this woman; her husband, Michael, died 5 years prior, also at age 88.
I have been unable to find any record of a Cyperski or Cuperski in the 1900 census in Detroit. However, the name "Kuperski" may be related; a Frank b. @1872 in Poland/Germany was of Detroit in 1900.
