a. Note:   Johanna (or Joanna) Psuik/Psuiki was born in Germany, married there at age 19 and immigrated with her husband in the late 1890's. Lillian Lesinski remembered her as a soft-spoken woman who never lost her temper with husband Adam. She apparently used to tell him to stop scaring the grandchildren when they came to visit - he said it would be OK if they didn't visit! Her nickname was "Memka," allegedly a diminutive of mother in Polish or German.
  According to Cecile (Wendt) Jensen (source unknown) she had 10 children alive at her death in 1905. We're only aware of 4 children. However, the 1956 will of daughter Stella (Przytulski) Pisarek seems to confirm that there were only 4 children who survived to adulthood, naming various nieces and nephews of the other 3 children listed listed here.
  Johanna was buried 3 days after her death on 13 March 1905 and is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, section B, block 1, row 5. Her death certificate indicates a birthdate of 24 Feb. 1840 and that she's birthed 10 children, 4 of whom were alive at her death. The informant for the death certificate information was J. Jablonski, the undertaker.
