a. Note:   er the "O." She appears in the 1910 census as a 40 year old, born in Germany/Poland, married 20 years, mother of 12 children, only 7 of whom were alive in 1910. Her immigration date is shown as 1880; she was only about 10 years old when she came to the US.
  She appears with her husband again in the 1920 census, living at the same address on Alexandrine where they'd lived since prior to 1910. Her name is shown as "Nettie" this time; must have been another nickname as the age is correct. Her tombstone is marked "Nettie," confirming her identity.
  Constance Ewald Ritter lived with her and her husband for a time after mother, Anna Ewald, died.
  Her maiden name "Dering" comes from St. Josephat's records which are somewhat difficult to read. This name is spelled "Dehring" in other places in church records. "Dering" is a name I came across frequently when researching the Wisniewski family in Catholic church records of Gorrenschin, Kreis Karthaus, West Prussia, now Goreczyno, Gdansk, Poland.
  Anastasia died 4 Mar. 1927 and was buried 8 Mar. 1927 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, section 15, lot 90 with her husband and several children.
