Notes
a. Note:   d by 1870. In the 1880 census, Margaret was living with her married sister Bridget "Annie" McLaughlin and family on Fleming St. (Brighton Heights, near Mc Kees Rocks Bridge) in Pittsburgh. Her age is shown as 24, versus the 28 expected from the 1870 info - but this isn't the first time that age variances have been found. She is listed as sister-in-law to Milton McLaughlin and shown as "Margaret Hoolihan." However, she is listed as being married and had an 8 month old infant, Harry "Hoolihan." No husband is shown. According to J.J. Houlihan, Margaret married Harry Brady and had a son, Harry Brady, Jr. and later lived in Homestead, PA. It's not clear where Harry Brady, Sr. was at the time of this census or, perhaps, if they married sometime after she had his child. Neither Harry Brady, Sr., Margaret Brady or Margaret Houlihan appear in the 1900 census index in PA; their whereabouts after 1880 is not known. No Harry Brady appears in the census records and his whereabouts are unknown at this time. Was she the Margaret Hollihen, nurse, appearing in the 1900 census as resident in the home of John D. Mars, Second Ave, 23rd ward, Pittsburgh. That woman was born May 1856, was widowed and had never had children. "Harry Hollihan" was living at 5115 Carnegie Ave, Pittsburgh in 1900 and 1910, in the same home as William G. and Mary J. Houlihan/Hollihan and the Rawlins family, that of Kate McCarthy. He was a 20 year old machinist, born in October, 1879 - there's no doubt that this was Margaret's son. Where was she?
Note:   Margaret Houlihan first appears in the 1870 census as an 18 year old living with her parents, brothers and one sister in Union Twp., Allegheny Co., PA. Older sisters Catherine and Bridget had marrie
