Note: s 7 through 9. She was a student at Northeastern High School for 1/2 year, transferring to Pershing High School where she stayed through the 11th grade, leaving school in June, 1943.
Monya lived with her parents at 8279 Almont Street, Detroit, MI from March 12, 1926 until her marriage in 1948. The family home was located just a few blocks from that of her future husband's family on Wisner Street. She and her husband Melvin Ritter moved to 33739 Garfield Road, Fraser, Macomb Co., Michigan 1 Dec 1948 where she still resides in 2008. She has kept more than busy, bearing and raising 10 children.

Beloved wife of the late Melvin. Dearest mother of Mitch (Angie), Kathy (Diane), Patty (Bill) Corbin, Jan (Tony) Longo, Rich (Terri), Mary Kay (Rick) Osgood, Steven (Sal), Barb (Mark) Detheridge, Anne (Gordon) Macaulay, and Terri Coppens. Dear grandmother of 24; great grandmother of 15.
Visitation Sunday 3-9 pm at the Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield, Clinton Twp. Instate Monday 10:30 am until the time of Mass 11:00 am at St. Ronald Catholic Church, 17701 15 Mile Road, Clinton Twp. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Ronald Catholic Church.
Note: "Monya" entered French Rd. Elementary School (Detroit) in September, 1931 where she was a student through grade three. She attended Lynch Rd. School (Detroit) grades 4 through 6, then Burroughs grade
