a. Note:   as since lived in Bethlehem and Eminence, KY. According to daughter-in-law, Sharon (Roth) Silvers, Arnold's mother said that her son's middle initial "J.' was only an initial and did not stand for Joseph or any other name.
  "Arnold J. Silvers (Arnie), age 85 of Louisville passed away Friday, November 30, 2012. He was born in Detroit, MI and was retired from Ford Motor Company with 43 years of service, having spent most of those years at the Ford Truck Plant. Arnie was a Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea. He was a lifetime member of VFW #1170, Ford salaried retiree club and a Kentucky Colonel. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Regina E. Houlihan of 43 years; and a sister Bonita Tanner.
  "Survivors include his loving wife of almost 20 years, the former Barbara Behlke; children, Kathleen Hinkle (Charles), Kevin (Sharon), Brian (Daryl), Shauna Buchert (Jerry), Sally and Tim; step-children, Kelly Scharfenberger (Chris), Kristi Peck and Jason Peck; 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
  "A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 2nd at Ascension Lutheran Church, 13725 Shelbyville Road. Visitation will be there prior to service from 2 - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Ascension Lutheran Church Band Fund.
Note:   Arnold Silvers was born and raised in Detroit, where he married Regina Houlihan in 1948. In the 1960's, he moved his family to Louisville, KY where he worked with Ford Motor Co., Truck Division. He h
