Fletcher, Davidson Co TN Marriage Records, p.148, Number 1767 (Pgs 1392-1395 of https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9BC-D384-P?i=1391&cc=1619127, 5 Mar 1854, Married by Wm. K. Wair. Since he married Martha on this date means that he and 1st wife, Mary E. Vest would have divorced. She remarried 8 May 1854 to Jason Little. * Note that Thomas married Martha Fletcher in March, 1854, and that the bible record of his brother, Andrew E. Miinton, shows that he also died in 1854. * Thomas B. Minton estate, in Nashville Union and American newspaper, Nashville TN, 26 May 1855, Saturday, page 3. "NOTICE--All persons having claims against the estate of Thomas B. Minton, deceased, are hereby notified to file their claims against said deceased, legally authenticated, with the Clerk of the County Court of Davidson County, TN on or before the 2nd day of July, next, in order that a division, pro rata, may be made, or they will be forever barred. April 23, 1855----Wm. W. Wright, Adm'r." * INFO of LURA HICKMAN MANASS, WIFE OF JOE DEE MINTON TO ONE OF THOMAS B. MINTON'S DESCENDANTS: "Great Grandfather (Thomas B. Minton) and his mother was in a boat on the river. Aunt Lura said she didn't know what river or where they had been or where they were going, but Great Grandfather, Tom, just disapearred and was never heard from again." MY COMMENT: IF THOMAS HAD BEEN ON BOAT WITH HIS MOTHER (SHE DIED IN 1842 BEFORE THOMAS DIED IN 1854) THEN HE HAD TO HAVE BEEN WITH HIS STEP-MOTHER, JANE AUSTIN, WHO WAS THEN MARRIED TO THOMAS' FATHER, ZACHARIAH MINTON. THOMAS HAD MARRIED MARTHA FLETCHER ON 5 MAR 1854.
