By decree of the County Court of Davidson County; rendered in the above cause, I offer for sale, on the premises, on Friday the 14th next, the following property, belonging the the estate of A. E. Minton, deceased; 1 lot containing 2 1/2 acres, upon which there is a school house; one lot containg 8 1/4 acres; also the interest in the remainder in the estate of said Minton has in the dower of his widow, Nancy Minton. Said dower consists of 24 acres of land situated in Daividson county, on the Nolensville Turnpike, about 6 1/2 miles from Nashville, upon which there are some comfortable buildings. The other land is situated in the same locality. Terms: A credit of 6, 12, and 18 months, with interest from date will be given, and notes with security will be required and a lien retained to secure the payment of the same. F. R. Cheatham, Clerk & Master. * Andrew was probably named after Andrew Erwin. Andrew Erwin was born in VA about 1773 and died near War Trace in Bedford Co TN in 1833. When 17 years old, Andrew Erwin entered the employment of James Patton, afterwards becoming his partner as inn-keeper and merchant in Wilkesboro, NC. In 1800-01, he was a member of the House of Commons from Wilkes County, NC. He was Asheville, NC's first postmaster. In 1814 he moved to Augusta, GA from Asheville.
