She was born March 15, 1917, at Heber Springs, the daughter of Earnest and Mertie (May) King. In 1932 Ottie May married Bill Minton when she was 15, and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage before his death on Aug. 30, 1980. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Mertie King; her husband, Bill Minton; one son, Dub Minton; one daughter, Billie Jean Weaver; one brother, Calvin King; two sisters, Edith Hargett and Lucille Neugebauer; and granddaughter, Cindy Griffin. Ottie May is survived by one son, Greg Minton of Dallas; one daughter, Dottie Riley of Marion; three sisters, Opal Sample of Winslow and Bonnie Hanks and Dale Cook, both of Heber Springs; nine grandchildren, Janet Benson, Sid Riley Jr., Jenna Minton, Scott Weaver, Ronnie Schwin, Dawn Reynolds, Misty Hankins, Mickey Minton and Dakota Minton; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home. Interment was in Holly Springs Cemetery. Jonesboro Sun, May 12, 2013.
