Note: * 1840 Wayne Co TN 00001-00001. * 1850 Wayne Co TN, Dist 7, age 29 TN, with husband & children. I am showing Mary as the daughter of William Riley Curtis & Nancy Staggs for several reasons. William married Nancy Staggs in 1815 in Williamson Co TN. Mary's husband, Thomas S. Staggs was born in Williamson County. In the 1850 census of Wayne Co TN, Mary & her husband & children were living 2 doors from William Riley Curtis & Nancy Staggs Curtis, his wife. By 1860, Mary & Thomas Staggs had moved to Izard Co AR, which was very near to Newton Co AR, where her brothers, Thomas & Amos, and her sister, Louisa, who had married a Hardison, moved to. Also, she died in Newton Co AR, while living in the household of her daughter, Manda, whose husband was Thomas Morgan. * 1860 Izard Co AR, Table Rock, age 40 TN, with husband & children. * 1870 Izard Co AR, Union TS, Pineville P.O., age 52 TN, with husband & children. * 1900 Newton Co AR, Jefferson TS, age 81 (June 1819) AR AR AR, widow, living in household of her daughter, Manda & husband, Thomas Morgan.
