STRICKLAND - Services for James L. Strickland, 67, were conducted Sunday from New Hope Methodist by Rev. Mark G. Fletcher. Mr. Stricland died at his home near Lexington early Saturday morning. He had suffered a stroke a week ago. He was a farmer and a member of he New Hope Church. He leaves his wife; four sons, Amos A. Washington D.C.; Grady, Indianapolis (sic) Minneapolis, Minn.; O'Neal and Leslie of St. Louis; four daughters, Mrs. Clara Pruitt, Mrs. J.D. Horn and Mrs. Fred Lofton all of Lexington and Mrs. Herman Lewis of Columbia TN; a brother, Sam Strickland, Harrisburg AR and a sister Mrs. Mary Minton of Lexington.
